PROCLAMATION 004

NAMING A PATRON SAINT FOR ASPENWALD

MICHAEL, by the grace of God, Count Palatine and Prince-elector of Aspenwald, &c, to all to whom these presents shall come, GREETING:

INSPIRED by the selflessness and bravery of Saint Alban, who demonstrated a profound commitment to justice, serving as a beacon of refuge and safety for the persecuted;

AND MOTIVATED by the desire to honor our beloved Saint Alban, whose unwavering dedication to humanity embodies the values of inclusivity, sanctuary, and universal love that we aspire to uphold in Aspenwald;

LET IT BE KNOWN that by this proclamation, I name SAINT ALBAN as the patron saint of our estate, emphasizing our dedication to upholding his values and striving to emulate his profound compassion and courage;

AND LET IT BE FURTHER KNOWN, that henceforth the Feast of Saint Alban, observed annually on the 22nd of June in accordance with the Anglican Liturgical Calendar, shall be observed and celebrated in the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald as SAINT ALBAN'S DAY;

AND WHEREAS the City of Albansberg, as our capital, requires a symbol reflecting its connection to its namesake, Saint Alban;

LET IT ALSO BE KNOWN that by this proclamation, the flag of Albansberg shall be the FLAG OF SAINT ALBAN, described as “Azure, a saltire Or,” and that its arms shall bear a design of the same.

THEREFORE, I, Michael, the Most Serene and Most Illustrious Count Palatine and Prince-elector of Aspenwald, have caused these, my letters, to be made patent and have affixed my signature under the seal of the Electorate of Aspenwald, on this, the tenth day of June, in the Year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Three.

[THE GREAT SEAL OF THE ELECTORATE OF ASPENWALD]

[Michael]
