PROCLAMATION 0003
Establishing the Official and Ceremonial Languages of the Electorate of Aspenwald
MICHAEL, by the grace of God, Count Palatine and Prince-elector of Aspenwald, &c, to all to whom these presents shall come, GREETINGS:
WHEREAS the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald recognizes the importance of language as a cornerstone of our identity, a medium for communication, and a vessel of our cultural heritage;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and proper to declare an official language for the purposes of administration, legislation, and official communication in the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed appropriate to acknowledge the significant historical and cultural influences that other languages have had on our nation by designating them as ceremonial languages;
LET IT BE KNOWN, therefore, that I do by this my proclamation designate the English language as the official language of the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald.
FURTHERMORE, I do hereby grant the German and Latin languages the special distinction as ceremonial languages of the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald, recognizing their significant cultural heritage and influence within the County Palatine and Electorate of Aspenwald and the Empire of Great Hanover as a whole.
In recognition of this, all official documentation, legislation, and communication will be conducted in English, while German and Latin shall be reserved for specific ceremonial, cultural, and traditional events or documents.
THEREFORE, NOW I, the Most Serene and Most Illustrious Michael, Count Palatine and Prince-elector of Aspenwald, have caused these, my letters to be made patent and have signed them under the seal of the Electorate of Aspenwald, on this, the twenty-ninth day of May, in the Year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Three.
[THE GREAT SEAL OF THE ELECTORATE OF ASPENWALD]
[Michael]
